Have Faith Ministries

During times of great spiritual revival the people of God have always had a great hunger for God's word. The Bible shows us times when God's saints were willing to listen to God's word being read and explained for long periods of time and on a daily basis (Nehemiah chapt.8-9; Acts 2:42-46). So many churches today have only one service a week and many of these services are serving up merely Christian snacks, short little sermons with little meat and or application. We live in a society that gives us all the modern conveniences nearly instantly. The media of our day has produced a culture that must be entertained in order to hold their attention. Unfortunately, as a result of this, all to many pastors and preachers have caved into serving up sound bite sermons and Bible studies. Many churches also spend more time entertaining the congregation than they do preaching God's truths. Church gatherings are for worshiping God and for equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. Only godly music and accurate preaching from God's word will accomplish God's design for church services. Too many believers are surviving (and just barely) on Christian snacks and often times these snacks are filled with unwholesome philosophies of men, false doctrines and perversions of God's truths. These are not Biblical solutions to prepare modern Christians to live in our modern society. The teaching ministries of Have Faith Christian Fellowship Church aim to fulfill God's principles of preaching and teaching the Bible. The apostle Peter said in 1Peter 2:2, "as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby" We teach and preach God's word as it is. Adding nothing and taking nothing away. We teach Book by Book, Chapter by Chapter and verse by verse. By doing this; we teach the whole council of God's word; believers are made aware of the context of Bible truths and Christians are prepared to handle the meatier issues in the Bible (Hebrews 5:12-14, "and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil,"). Without a steady and good diet of God's word, Christians will only be weak, ineffective and they will not mature spiritually. Some believers that are being fed only milk or unwholesome Christian snacks, don't realize how weak they are. They've become accustomed to this diet, not realizing they're spiritually anemic. There are a number of ways to determine if you're getting enough spiritual food. How's you're spiritually health? Are you being challenged to deal with sin in your life (the preacher's call -2Tim. 4:2, "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.")? Are you being encouraged to live a Holy life before God, or are you becoming more and more like worldly unbelievers? Are you being encouraged to run your Christian race well (Heb. 12:1 "lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us")? Are you proclaiming the gospel to the lost (Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.")? Have you made great spiritual progress in the last week, in the last month or the in last year? Remember, there is no NEUTRAL in the Christian's life! If you're not going forward spiritually, then you're loosing ground spiritually! Are you making disciples? Are you encouraging others to move ahead spiritually? If you're answering "No" to these questions, it's very possible that you're either, not getting the spiritual food you need, not getting the pastoral guidance you need or being disobedient to the Lord who purchased you with His blood. Becoming spiritually healthy requires time. Just like a runner must put time into training for a race, believers need to put time into hearing and reading God's word in order to run the Christian race well. The apostle Paul told Timothy in, 2Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." At Have Faith Christian Fellowship Church we desire to help believers grow spiritually. We do this in a number of ways. First, we have many opportunities for Christians to hear God's word: Sunday School, Sunday Morning service, Sunday Evening Service, Wed. night Bible study and prayer meeting, Ladies' Fellowship, Men's' Fellowship and Men's Bible Study. Also, the pastor places a great emphasis on discipling the men in the church, in order that they will disciple others. If we can help you grow in Christ in any way, if we can help you become more effective for the Lord, please come visit us or call us.
